CURRENT TASKS AND REVIEW NEW INFORMATION
How this feature works:
Each time a user logs into the LOGICARE system and selects a patient, OnRecord will present Current Tasks for that patient on the left side of the screen,
and any "new information" will be available on the right.
New information could include charting notes, order results, including critical results, and orders that need to be signed for by a provider. Once the user clicks
on the information to indicate it's been reviewed, it's removed from the new information screen but remains part of the visit chart.
The design of the new information and Current Tasks panels support single-click completion of items such as: designate new information as "reviewed";
"see patient now"; lab drawn; and sign verbal orders. Users will be able to review historical records, place orders and create patient instructions
or other forms.
Information about the patient's allergies, medications and vital signs will always be visible on the screen.
The types of work items that can appear in the new information
and quick panel screen include:
-
Review new information, i.e., test results or new session notes that this user
has not reviewed. For medical providers, this area could include orders that need to be co-signed.
-
List of common assessments and reassessments.
-
Lists of suggested orders. Orders are suggested based on complaint, age and gender or by diagnosis, age and gender.
-
Lists of interventions selected by the user, those a previous user selected and did
not finish, or interventions the system suggests based on an order.
Benefits:
Rather than search the system for what's next, OnRecord points the way.
Often with single-click ease, medical providers can use their Current Tasks and Review functionality to place suggested orders, review orders placed by others, sign orders,
view results and review other caregivers' notes.
Nurses will be able to get an at-a-glance view of their Current Tasks, review results, place standing orders, and review caregiver notes.
This feature will also give caregivers quick access to assigning a patient to a room, and recording they saw a patient.
